Mini Frustrations, also Socks

alchemistdoctorI wish I could show you all my work and have you be like WOW that is AMAZING, but unfortunately it's all stuff that's either boring as hell to a non-chemist/biologist, or is probably confidential so far. All I want are some bragging rights, is that too much to ask?
On the other hand I've started a pair of socks using some old chenille. It's a try-out of a pattern to see if I like the way the sole's made, and while this stuff is ridiculous yarn, it's also ridiculously soft, so hopefully even the try-out is wearable.
