So: half the bathroom is deep-cleaned, and I'm 2/3 of the way through finishing those fic recs.  I've also added cut tags for those viewing the recs on their reading page. I don't know how to make them work inside the post itself.

Something I realised is that while I subscribed/bookmarked a lot of BBC Sherlock fic, I didn't do nearly as much bookmarking/subscribing/keeping ACD Canon fic. I know part of that is because most of the ACD fic I read here, on DW, but I think I'm also reluctant to hold onto canon fic the same way. It feels like I'm somehow betraying canon? I'm going to try to get over that this next year, because I want those authors getting more credit after I've enjoyed their fic.

Anyway, now to take a food break, which has been long-coming.

Could you reframe canon fic as a love letter to canon? Because I think a lot of authors, that's exactly how they're writing it.

Cut tags mostly only work when you're coming at the post from outside: dash, journal, or archive. The closest you can get to linking the post itself and still have the cut-tags work is to backdate the three posts to days where nothing else appears, and then link to the DATE of the post, and not the post itself. Or you could make them top-of-the-journal sticky, instead of linking to them: lots of people do that with their masterlist posts.
